Hi there!
We are Philip and Annabel Beeforth, the people behind Moonwind Flowers. Philip is a designer with a life long and unrivalled passion for the natural world. Annabel is founder of the popular wedding blog, Love My Dress®.
Our sustainable flower farm is located within our 4 acre wildflower meadow that sits at the end of our garden, with the most breathtaking views across the North York Moors National Parks and Esk Valley. We are located in the village of Egton, just six miles out of Whitby, North Yorkshire, where we live with our two daughters and much loved family of furry hounds.
Moonwind Flowers is a result of Philip's original vision to regenerate the land we acquired when we brought our 'forever' family home in 2015. It is an an expression of the land and we are agents of the natural beauty that surrounds us. This precious natural environment is a recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Special Scientific Interest. It inspires us every day and is a constant and loyal source of creativity. Watching the seasons unfold across the landscape is a truly magical and spiritual experience. If we had all the money in the world, we wouldn't live anywhere else.
We work in alignment with nature and the seasons, using natural, biodynamic and organic methods of flower farming that honour the earth and maintain superb soil health. Everything we grow is done so naturally, and without the aid of chemicals or pesticides. We are fully committed to ensuring the safety and protection of our environment. As a sustainable flower farm, nothing ever goes to waste on Moonwind - we even gather the molehills for our flower beds, such is the superb quality of the soil on our farm.
We are especially passionate about creating floral beauty for couples getting married. We have a wealth of skill and knowledge in flower growing, floral design and artistry and floral mechanics. We adore the creative process and challenge that weddings provide and absolutely love getting to work with couples who share our appreciation of the natural world and our unique offering; no imports, no stale and scent-free flowers, no chemicals used to force growth or nasty preservatives that are harmful to our people and our planet - everything done naturally and with love.
Growing beautiful, British flowers to share with others brings us absolute joy and we feel deeply privileged to be able to share our creativity and life passion with others.
